Yarn Along: The Claret Cowl

Claret Cowl made with a Knifty Knitter www.laurabraydesigns.comI'm still knitting away on my loom.  I finished my latest project, a VERY warm, claret colored cowl just in time for Southern California to have a little wave of Spring.  We are expecting cooler weather and maybe some rain in the next few days, so maybe I can sneak it into one of my outfits before the warm weather hits.

As for my reading, I just finished Thrush Green .  I loved it.  It wasn't mentally taxing and everyone lived happily ever after.  Sometimes you need a book like that. It made me want to move to an English village in the countryside and knit and embroider all day and drink tea.  While that probably isn't going to happen anytime soon, I'll have to be content with reading some more of the Miss Read novels set in Thrush Green.  Of course I can also drink tea and stitch and knit, so I supposed I'm practically living my dream, right?

I love the color of your cowl. It looks so cozy! I wish I could sit and drink tea and knit all day too. That sounds wonderful!

The cowl is beautiful!  Did you do it on a round loom?  (New to loom knitting, or knitting of any kind, and clueless).

I did the cowl on the rectangular loom, like a scarf, then I stitched the ends together when it was the length I wanted.
