Watch it Wiggle

Gelatin Bowls by Laura Bray

Well, I never did more than two of my daily drawings for February. I'm taking two, long term, illustration classes right now and I just don't seem to have the time to work on anything else. I am, however, working hard on the classes, so I'm not feeling too badly about it. At least I'm still drawing daily. For the my Make Art That Sells Assignment Bootcamp, we are working on gelatins right now.

I love this class because Lilla comes up with some wild, out-there, themes but, by the time she's done with you, they make complete sense. To warm-up to the exercise, I've done a few pages in my sketchbook and also did a little crafting. I bought some cute, fluted bowls and then used Pebeo Porcelaine 150 China Paint Fine Tip Markers to draw some of my gelatin illustrations on them. I just discovered these markers and you can cure them in the oven and then they are food and dishwasher safe! They make me happy. I'm enjoying the processes I'm learning and I love how my new found focus on drawing is inspiring my crafting.
