I am so excited to be hopping along with the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I’m also a sponsor and am giving away a set of my Tea in the Garden stamps. Although I’m a tea drinker, I do have a coffee pot stamp in the set because a good tea party hostess always tries to accommodate all her guests’ needs. Be sure to hop around and see all the fantastic stamped crafts with a Summer Coffee theme and join in the fun to win some fabulous prizes!
Stamps aren’t just for paper. I love to use stamps on shrink plastic to create quick and easy charms. Today, I used my newly released set of stamps to create cute little drink charms. Most of the time you see drink charms for wine glasses, but why not put them on your tea or coffee too? I don’t know about you, but I miss place those almost as much as I misplace my wine glass!
To stamp on shrink plastic, simply use a good stamp ink and stamp directly onto the shrink plastic paper. Keep in mind that the image will shrink! See the difference between the original stamp image vs. the image after I baked my shrink plastic?
You can color your stamped images before you put them in the oven, I like to use permanent markers, then just pop in them in the oven and follow the instructions on the shrink plastic’s packaging. Oh! And don’t forget to make a hole in the charm before baking!
I hope you enjoy this quick and easy project. When I was a little girl, I loved to make “Shrinky Dinks” on rainy, boring days in the summer, so grab some stamps and some shrink plastic and play a little. It is summer after all!
