I have a confession to make. I love the hand lettering trend, but I am terrible at it. And yes, I know I could practice, but I don't want to. So instead I spend my time finding ways to get the same look by taking shortcuts.
As many of you know, I am on the design team for Joy Letters and they are just the answer for lazy girls like me. The embroidered letters come in a variety of fonts and they iron-on, but you can also glue them on anything. Including an art canvas. Which is what I did. I simply took a black canvas (cheater chalkboard look!) I bought at the art store, glued my Joy Letters onto it, and painted flowers around it. I might be lazy, but I'm happy with the end result and that's all that really matters. It's part of my whole philosophy of crafting-keep it simple. My "non-crafty" friends are always saying that they don't have time to craft. But really, being creative everyday can really only take a few minutes. Create a quick and simple project and you feel like you've accomplished and just might be a bit more relaxed too.
Happy crafting, my fellow cheaters, happy crafting!
