Holiday Mason Jar Toppers

We are in the thick of last minute Christmas preparations around here.  Gifts are being made…such the mason jars, filled with homemade hot cocoa mix. The lids have been decked out with anything "little & festive" we could find! 

Oatmeal Cookies

And cookie baking has begun.  We only scratched the surface yesterday with a large batch of these oatmeal cookies.  Every year, I worry about making them as the dough gets so thick and my poor mixer strains to mix it!  But every year, my workhorse Kitchen Aid mixer does the job.  Why do I ever doubt it?

Tomorrow we are off to a cold day at the beach to celebrate the first full day of Winter with Solstice picnic and bonfire.  Let the holidays begin!
